Description

On mobile devices, the sidebar is open by default when visiting the site, which obstructs the main page content and makes navigation difficult. The sidebar does not close when tapping the Home icon or the "Home" label, which is unintuitive. It only closes when tapping the "<" arrow next to "Home".

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the site on a mobile device
  2. The sidebar is open automatically on page load.
  3. Tap the "Home" icon or the "Home" text in the sidebar.
  4. The sidebar remains open.
  5. Tap the "<" arrow next to "Home".
  6. The sidebar closes

Expected Behavior

  • The sidebar should be closed by default on mobile to allow full visibility of the main content.
  • Tapping the "Home" icon or "Home" text should also close the sidebar (or at least navigate and collapse it), as this is standard mobile UX behavior.

Actual Behavior

  • Sidebar is open by default on mobile.
  • Sidebar blocks main content.
  • Sidebar only closes when tapping the "<" arrow, not when tapping the Home icon or label.
